Trip to Florida

This past weekend we drove to Florida to visit Zaza and Grandpa, Amber, Landin and Tim (Amber's fiancé!)  :)

We had planned on going during Spring Break, but Marc has to travel to New York for a case that whole week so Spring Break came early.    We drove 1/2 way Thursday afternoon after our last co-op class for the semester.  Then we got there Friday, and Amber took us to a hibachi grill to keep up our tradition of always doing that when we first get together.

Saturday Zaza and Grandpa came up and spent the whole day.  The kids played at the park down the street and then SWAM all day!  No the water wasn't warm- but it wasn't freezing and they had a blast.  Even Daddy and Tim got in.  While they swam we all sat outside, enjoyed Grandpa's pulled pork bbq, and Zaza cut everyone's hair.

Amber let the boys play with Noah's light sabers- they were awesome-

That night we went to the 5:00 p.m. Mass with a red faces.

After mass we went to an Irish pub where Amber had reserved us a room!  McIntire is Zaza's maiden name and Tuck Tuck's middle name.

Marc got their famous burger that has donuts for the buns!

Marky ate it too!

The entertainment was fun- we all sang along.  Tucker made faces with the man.

Eventually he brought these three on stage and let them assist with percussion.

At some point Tucker noticed the microphone and decided to add to the song with some intermittent "whoops" and finally a long "goooood byyyyyeeee" at the end.  :)

We got home just in time to watch the Disney fireworks show from Amber's driveway- she sees it every single night!

On Sunday we got up early and went straight to Disney Hollywood Studios, primarily so the boys could (hopefully) get "Jedi Training".  :)

Every 30 minutes they have a Star Wars parade/show in the center stage- it was very impressive!

We had to use the force to help defeat the dark side-

So happy Daddy and Uncle Tim are strong and can hold up the boys for long periods of time!

We saw the hilarious Live Muppet Show, The Frozen show (that Amber designed) where it snows IN THE THEATER, several Star Wars shows and memorabilia, the Star Tours ride, which is awesome.  We also rode the "The Great Movie Ride."

"I'll get you my pretty....."

The Pixar section is magical-

Even waiting for the Toy Story ride is a treat- it's so cute-

But 100%, the highlight of the visit was Jedi Training!  We almost missed it!  When we got there we went straight to the place to sign up and they said it was full all day!  We were so sad!!!  We watched the show with other children in it and the children enjoyed it, but deep down they were sad they couldn't do it.

At the very end of the day when we were exhausted and heading home, we walked by one more time.  A precious girl said, "it's totally full......BUT.....if you wait around and there is an opening...maybe I can slip one of your children in."  Well, the Lord opened the door for us because FOUR children didn't show up- so ALL of ours could do it!  It was the last training of the day, the last group, the last chance and four spaces opened up!  Yay!

First the Jedi master teaches the children the moves they will need to fight the upcoming battles-

Then Darth Vader shows up and each child has to fight him!

Then they power push him away for good-

Just when we thought we were safe Kylo Ren shows up to fight!

Another giant force push and he's history!

I cannot tell you how happy these boys were!!!  They were beside themselves!

Everyone got a Jedi training pin to wear afterwards!  They were so proud!

Marc drove Zaza home Sunday evening.  He went shooting with Grandpda on Monday morning and then to lunch and a movie.  I stayed back at Amber's with the children and did laundry and packed up.

We left Monday afternoon and went 1/2 way.  On Tuesday we drove past Dothan where my grandparents are buried and paid them a quick visit.

We also got to drive through Troy- the University has changed so much- it's beautiful.

We got home Tuesday just in time for horseback riding and we've been going strong ever since.  Such a wonderful little trip- so grateful for our family!  We love to see them!
