Post Thanksgiving Fun

Friday after Thanksgiving we had a leisurely morning and then went to a hibachi grill for lunch (it's our tradition when Landin comes to visit).

Grandpa showed us how he would do it!

Then we went to the movies!   Some of us saw a children's movie, Moana, and others saw Allied.  Afterwards, we made a trip to the book store.  Then the men took the children home so the women could keep shopping.  :)

Aunt Amber brought the girls matching jammies!

This will go down as the pearler bead Thanksgiving.  All of the children worked on them all day every day!

Sissy made Tucker.

On Saturday the men and Marc went to the gun show at the civic center.  They had a great time and got Marc a really neat flashlight and a bolo.

On Saturday night everyone talked Marc into getting the tree.

So exciting!

We were going to cook out steaks but ran out of propane.  Amber taught us a cool way to sear them on the stove and finish them in the oven.

It wouldn't be a family visit without a  hilarious game of Apples to Apples, Jr.

Poor Zaza!  She had to cut eight heads of hair on her "vacation".  :)  She has everybody looking right now.

Now we are putting away all the fall docrations.  I didn't realize how many I had until I piled it up.

He saw this hat in the attic and said, "Oh great!  There's my hat!"  He's worn it ever since.

We've been putting out deer corn and now we have a 6 point buck coming to eat!

Thanksgiving Day

Because of all the prep work (BB taught me well), Thanksgiving dinner was easy to prepare.  We had ordered our roasted turkey from the Knights of Columbus, so we just heated it.  I was afraid it was overcooked, but it was tender and delicious.    BB and Poppy came and brought a Honeybaked Ham, BB's famous potato salad, spinach soufflĂ© and deviled eggs!

Marc and I both have beautiful, Godly mothers!

All the men folk-

My twin Sister-in-law!

After lunch we got a few family pictures- a rare event!

The rest of the day we just enjoyed the beautiful fall colors and sat by the fire.

We enjoyed our final moments with Perky Turkey.  :)

Tucker had his plastic ax, but Landin saved Mr. Turkey!

The kiddos played outside for hours and then after supper Zaza, Amber and I hit Kohls and Walmart for early Black Friday deals.  Such a fun day.  So thankful for our many blessings, particularly that all of our immediate family was together.
