The Lord has done great things for me....Holy is His name

Well, many people know that Marc and I love children and have always felt "the more the merrier."

We have tried for these past 6 1/2 years to have another child and it just would not work.  We were heartbroken for years and finally one night last fall we said, "this is crazy us holding on to all of this baby stuff when the door has been shut," and we gave it all to charity.  We were both sad, but we both felt it was the right thing to do.

You see where this is going.  :)

This fall Charlie began praying during our family rosary that God would please send us a baby.  All the children have prayed for us to have a baby and thanks be to God, He has heard their prayer.

I'm nervous and scared to even put this on here, but I want to finally announce that I am 15 1/2 weeks pregnant with a precious little girl.

So far everything has been perfect- every ultrasound, all my bloodwork- everything seems perfect.  I have been weepy and emotional at every single doctor's visit- I feel like I have a little PTSD from my many pregnancy losses.

We are just beyond grateful and humbled and thankful to our Lord who is the Author of Life, and we say with the Blessed Virgin Mary,

My soul magnifies the Lord
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior;
Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid;
.... He who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is His name!

Happy Atoms

One of Tucker's new passions are atoms and molecules.  He is truly the mad scientist of the house!  We got him "Happy Atoms" for Christmas, and it has been a big hit!

I will add that one of the things that got him really interested in these things are the two awesome books by Theodore Gray-

I could hear someone upstairs talking under their breath and went up to see who it was.  Little buddy was sitting in the floor talking through the molecules he was creating.  :)

Christmas Day

Christmas morning the children woke up bright and early and patiently waited for the sleepy adults.  :)

Per tradition, we had monkey bread for breakfast.  :)

Marc's new bike was waiting on the porch!

Daddy got out the "yule log"- the trunk of the Christmas tree from the year before- and we started a fire with it.

We have such generous grandparents and family who send us wonderful gifts!

The children fell in love with the show Battlebots this year and they are so happy to have a battlebots game to battle with their robots-

Even under the weather we pulled together a nice Christmas dinner.  :)

I got sicker and sicker as the day went on so I went to bed right after lunch.  The children played with all their new things, and then Marc took them to Mass last night. It was a wonderful Christmas.

(Apparently Charlie pet and kissed each sheep and baby Jesus).  :)
