Daddy let the boys chop down a tree. :)
On Monday we had the Confraternity of Christian mothers and added four new members.
We had a fancy dinner banquet on Tuesday evening. I just happen to have a hair dresser appointment that day so I said, "could you possibly blow dry my hair and do some beachy waves?" She got out a curling iron and bobby pins and next thing I knew I looked ready for prom. Oh well.
Alphabet cereal-
We got Perky Turkey up and ready for Thanksgiving! Annie is in love and says "Gobble Gobble" when she sees him. :)
We did a MAJOR clean out of the shed, basement and garage this Saturday. All the old rugs, broken bikes, old exercise equipment, and junk that had accumulated was picked up and carted off by a professional company. THEY sort it and donate the stuff that can be donated and recycle what can be recycled and take the rest to the dump. We were so happy to get it done!
The boys (and our neighbors) were happy to help with the loading!
When we got rid of that bed above I found a box of pictures underneath that I hadn't seen in years. A little college time with Shana and Shelley-
High school cheerleading. A lifetime ago, but such a fun time.
This afternoon we went on the most interesting field trip to our friends' lumber mill. They actually live at the lumber mill and homeschool there. They had a forester friend come by and teach us all about forestry, the history of it, the type of wood in Alabama today vs the past, the best practice of forestry. All so interesting!
We went on a fun hayride to see their cattle and the different type of hardwoods on their land-
This tree is estimated to be 200 years old-
Afterwards we made s'mores in the fire pit and had a great time. The owner gave us all beautiful cutting boards as a parting gift. Such a nice day outside with the family.
And here are some pictures BB sent us while we were in D.C. last weekend- here she is pointing to a horse when they were singing Old MacDonald. She can say most of her animal sounds now and is great at singing EI EI O! :)
She smiles like this all day every day. Happiest.baby.ever.
