This and That

This week Marc went to camp with the Birmingham Boys Choir.  He stayed in the dorms at the University of Montevallo and had a blast.  This organization has their act together- they know how to train up young men.   Last night they had their "end of camp" concert at Samford University.  They sounded amazing!  So proud!  And for my records- Marc is a soprano 2 again this year.   :)

Just a tiny sampling-

Meanwhile, my little boys finished up their week of 1/2 day chess camp.  They LOVED it!  Tucker said, "well, I'm into chess now."  :)  I think it's true- this is what we found checking on him at bedtime- reading books on chess.

In the afternoons after camp we've just been playing with Charlie's birthday gifts and swimming!

Sissy and I got to eat lunch just the two of us this week so we enjoyed meeting friends including Shana and Victoria!

This morning the children finally gave him our family presents.  This year they each wanted to get him something- and since we don't buy him toys pretty much ever we spoiled him a little this time.

Sunday pictures, et al

This week the boys are going to 1/2 day chess camp.  They love it!

We got a new computer last week so of course Marc and Astronaut Tucker had to make a rocket ship out of the box.

And we still (after all these years) play with Magna-Tiles all the time.

And this is what you see if you say, "Charlie, go brush your teeth, put on jammies and wait for me to read a story."  :)

Angel from heaven!

Charlie's 5th birthday party

On Sunday evening we held a little party for Charlie's fifth birthday!  It was an Avengers-themed party for our little superhero!  We had it at the pool and clubhouse in our neighborhood.

We served Zaxby's chicken tenders!

Happy Birthday to You!!!

BB and Poppy got Charlie a "Gween Machine!"  He was thrilled!

He loved all his presents!  He has many things to keep his little hands busy!

The children also played a little tennis-

Even though we got home later than usual we let him build one of his lego kits.

Big Bubba put the Green Machine together all by himself.  He woke up early before everyone else and finished it before I took him to choir camp.

Best big brother!

We love you Charliebear!

P.S.- BB made him the cutest birthday card!
