A few pics from this morning. The little boys LOVE dressing a like and being "wittle match boys" as Charlie calls them. Overheard this morning:
Charlie: Look- we are wittle match boys!
Tucker: Yes, we have the same shirt, shorts, shoes and socks.
Charlie: Yes, but we have differwent bodies and differwent hair.
Tucker: Yes, and different sizes- I'm bigger than you.
Charlie: Dats 'cause I'm da baby. :)

Working it out
Marc and Tucker have a bit of a complicated relationship. On the whole they get along great, but Tucker does NOT like Marc to do anything for him or tell him what to do. Even today when Marc simply handed him the towel to dry his hands Tucker put his hands behind his back and said, "I will get the towel myself!"
Tucker is blessed that he has such a sweet brother who puts up with this nonsense. The other day when we were in a sports store Marc walked up to me and I said, "Do not ask me to buy anything- we are here for one reason." He said, "oh, I just wanted to get this kickstand and bell for Tucker's bike. I know he really wants them. I will pay you back when we get home." Such a sweet boy- and yes, I did let him buy the bell and kickstand and he even installed them all on his own.
He is even saving up his money to buy Tucker a hammock because Tucker likes his so much. And the other day he asked me not to throw away a box (Marc loves to create with boxes and even asked our neighbor if he could have the box his lawnmower came in, which the neighbor happily agreed. I came home and there was a giant, stinky lawnmower box in the foyer!). Anyway, Marc needed the box to make a home for Tucker's stuffed bear, which he made and Tucker loved.
Marc makes things for Tucker all the time- he worked on this weather chart for Tucker all yesterday- he's going to attach a thermometer on the left side-
So Tuck Tuck, I write this down so you will know- you really have the jackpot on big brothers, and I hope you will learn to be grateful for him. I know Marc is grateful for you and thinks you are hilarious. Every time I talked while he was in Europe he asked me for a "Tucker quote." :)
Thank you Lord for these precious boys!
Speaking of Tucker quotes- I need to write this down before I forget.
Driving home from church-
Tucker: Mommy, what does 'confession' mean?
Julia: Tucker don't say that- you know what confession is- don't pretend you don't.
Tucker: Julia, I know I have a large vocabulary, but I certainly do not know everything!
Later-
Mommy- Tucker eat that Cliff bar.
Tucker; Mommy, I would, but I do not favor bars like these. :)

Works of Mercy and Catholic Kids Week wrapup
Thursday night was Marc's turn to be head chef at the shelter and he took Julia and Marc. They did a great job.
We wrapped up Catholic Kids week today. We learned some great lessons. Today we made flowers for the Blessed Virgin Mary, since we were studying the coronation.

After a trip to the Parent Teacher store we stopped for Chick Fil A milkshakes!

This and that
Catholic kids week is rolling along. I have really enjoyed teaching the lessons. Yesterday we did the "descent of the Holy Spirit" and made tongues of fire for them to wear. Then we had a birthday party for the Church.
My name is Sharshee. I will not wear my fwame on my head. I do not wike vacation Bible school. I want to stay wif Mommy da whole time. It takes about an hour for me to settle in everwy day. You may notice my busted wip. Dats because I fell off a chair twying to get to da cookie jar. It's hard being fwee years old. :)
Yesterday after CKW we went with friends to the coolest pizza place. They loved watching our food be made.
Last night on a whim we took the children to Chuck E Cheese. We had already had dinner- we just paid $20 to get 80 tokens- 20 each. It was a fun hour and a half of laughing and playing.
Daddy showed me how to dwive da batman carw.
My big bwuva takes good care of me.

Father's Day and Catholic Kids Week
On Sunday we had a potluck luncheon at church and then got ready to head out to the farm to celebrate Marc and Poppy. We had a great bbq dinner and then were thrilled to get to dig up the pototos we planted earlier this year- with potatoes you plant on St. Patrick's Day and harvest on Fourth of July (or thereabouts). :)

Many were huge!
A huge box full of taters! :)
BB took the kids around in her sweet new ride! :)
Today we learned about the ascension of Jesus into heaven. We had a balloon with a picture of Jesus on it and let it "ascend". :) We also talked about his last command to share the good news with all nations.
Tucker and his best buddies. They are sweet boys.

Crazy veggie loving Tucker pulled a potato out of the ground, peeled it, and ate it!

The sunflowers are over our heads now!
After all that potato digging we picked blueberries and then went swimming.
Happy Father's Day to Marc, Poppy and Big Grandpa! We love you!
This week is Catholic Kids Week at church. A friend and I are in charge of the lessons- we are studying the glorious mysteries of the rosary. All the grades rotate through so I get to teach Tucker and Charlie. Marky is working as a activities/snack helper and loving it and doing a great job. Julia's class is taught their lesson by the seminarian so I don't teach her. It's been so much fun so far.
