We had a nice, low-key Fourth of July. We just worked in our home in the morning. Marky came home from camp the day before so we had a lot of laundry to do!
Our elderly neighbors used to always put Uncle Sam in the driveway on the Fourth and our children would always go play with him. The neighbors moved recently and gave him to us. We hope to display him every year!
After lunch we drove out to the farm to see BB and Poppy. When we got there the children went swimming. I stayed inside with baby girl.
After swimming we came in for a yummy supper. Daddy has worn his U.S. Constitution shirt every single year since Zaza and Grandpa got it for him. It's a tradition now.
And BB and Poppy got me a cake to celebrate my pretty significant birthday.... sigh. :)
After dessert the children picked over a gallon of blueberries. Then it was time to fish!
Poor baby girl has reflux and tummy troubles at times. She was fussy all day and needed lots of snuggling- she was in the right place. :)
We finally had to hit the road early to get her fed and in bed. We got home and let the children use sparklers, which they had never had before. They LOVED them! It was a magical day.
By the way, at the farm we really enjoyed watching John Paul Jones-
And on the way to the farm and back we watched This is America, Charlie Brown. :)
