This and that, Sunday pics

Baby girl is walking so well now!  We are so proud of her little Frankenstein walk.  :)

She is a little Holly Hobby doll-

She loves her tot lot in the evenings-

And swinging with Sissy is the best!

If she and Julia had been close in age, I would definitely have been dressing them in matching dresses.  I still dress Tucker and Charlie alike most Sundays.  I am finding creative ways to make them match.  :)  Mommy and Me outfits will serve for Sissy and Me.  :)

Annie got her first pair of English sandals.  And a navy bonnet for fall.  :)   We love this giggly baby girl and her sweetest big sister!

A happy little corner of our home.  :)  On Instagram people take pictures of corners of their homes, and I like looking at this one.

Tucker got way overheated during his football game on Saturday.  Sweet brother carried him to the car for me.

Most nights Daddy is the one who puts baby girl down.  Tonight, I had bathed her, put on the lotion, jammies and sleep sack and was just about to lay her down when he ran in the bedroom door.  She saw him and he saw her and then it was time for Mommy to go.  She wanted DADDY and him only to read her bedtime story.  :)  She LOVES stories.

She points to everything and has us tell her what it is.

 "So Big"-

"Peek a Boo!"

If she points at something and we don't say it, she quickly turns her head and looks at us as if to say, "well?  What's this?"

This precious time reminds me of "The Children's Hour" by Longfellow (which BB has quoted my whole life).

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupations,
That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
      The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
      And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,
      Descending the broad hall stair,
Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra,
      And Edith with golden hair.

A whisper, and then a silence:
Yet I know by their merry eyes
They are plotting and planning together
      To take me by surprise.

A sudden rush from the stairway,
A sudden raid from the hall!
By three doors left unguarded
      They enter my castle wall!

They climb up into my turret
      O'er the arms and back of my chair;
If I try to escape, they surround me;
      They seem to be everywhere.

They almost devour me with kisses,
      Their arms about me entwine,
Till I think of the Bishop of Bingen
In his Mouse-Tower on the Rhine!

Do you think, O blue-eyed banditti,
Because you have scaled the wall,
Such an old mustache as I am
Is not a match for you all!

I have you fast in my fortress,
And will not let you depart,
But put you down into the dungeon
In the round-tower of my heart.

And there will I keep you forever,
      Yes, forever and a day,
Till the walls shall crumble to ruin,
      And moulder in dust away!
