Ireland day 2- a little hiccup

This morning we woke up early and all dressed and met for breakfast at the beautiful restaurant downstairs.  Marky seemed a bit "off", but we thought he was just jet lagged.  Then while we sat at breakfast he got sick.  We got him cleaned up and back to the room and he seemed to be better so we thought maybe it was a fluke.  We got in the car with all our stuff and vouchers for our day in Dublin and he got sick again!  Then we knew he had a real stomach virus and we had to stay home for the day.

We got back to the room (where he got sick yet again) and let him sleep it off.  I stayed in the room with him while Marc and Amber took the little children to see the beautiful Powerscourt mansion and gardens (45 acres of gorgeous landscapes) and waterfall here on the property.

I can only imagine Sissy's reaction when she climbed the hill to see this-

There was a pet cemetery with graves back to 1901-

Laoccoon and sons- we saw the original in the Vatican museum 3 years ago, bu the arms were assembled wrongly at the Vatican- this has the arms done correctly-
There was a toy museum on the grounds with miniature doll houses to the extreme- even miniature Waterford crystal for the dolls!

On to the waterfall-

We've been pretending on this whole trip that Tucker is a leprechaun.   It all started when we watched the old Disney movie "Darby O'Gill and the Little People".  So now Tucker says "you have to catch me and I will give you three wishes!"  They decided this was his little hole to his leprechaun house.  :)

After the long day of adventures Tucker was wiped out!  He fell fast asleep while the girls watched movies.  Marky slept the whole entire day.  While Tucker slept, Amber and I went shopping for a bit. :)  We didn't get anything, but it was fun to look!
Tucker woke up a little out of sorts, but I wanted this pic to remember how he and Marc matched today (Marky matched them too until he got sick).

We ate at a Pub in the hotel.  It was so charming.  :)

 Julia fell asleep at dinner-

We found a children's "game room" tonight- it had a movie theater and tons of games-

Tucker loved the dress up box!

So even though our plans were changed for the day we had a wonderful, full day and we are all rested and ready to go for tomorrow!

oh no! I hope the bug passes quickly and no one else gets it...especially the pregnant mama who stayed with him all day! I'm glad everyone made the most of it and it looks like there was plenty of fun things to explore on the grounds!
