Mother's Day at the Farm

Sunday afternoon we headed out to the farm to celebrate Mother's Day.  It was a perfect, gorgeous day to be outside!

We first looked at all the vegetables growing up- the boys helped plant them just a little while back.  There are four different gardens.  Tucker got to pull up some radishes- and just ate them right then!

In the front of this field are giant potato plants, pumpkins, watermelon and corn-

The tall things are going to be sunflowers!  They also planted cotton!

Sweet corn planted by Tucker and Marky-

The blueberries- there are 35 of these bushes- are almost ready to be picked!   They are going to have tons of apples, pears, peaches and grapes too!

After checking out the gardens we were hot and ready to swim- the first outdoor swimming for the year!

After swimming we had a delicious steak supper cooked out by Poppy.  Then we had HOMEMADE ice cream- cookies and cream.  It was all just awesome.  Then we let the kiddies ride bikes, the gator, lawnmower and four-wheeler.  The cul-de-sac is the perfect track.

Then it was time to fish and blow bubbles on the dock.  Such a perfect way to end the day!

Charlie and Tucker's poles just have plastic fish on the end and they cast them and reel them in a million times.  :)  Charlie kept saying, "Wook at my far cast!"

And yes, right before we left Julia caught a crappie!

Happy Mother's Day!  We love you BB!  Marc and I both won the jackpot with our mommas!  :)
