Pandemic living, Marc's 16th birthday, etc.

More pictures from live in lock down.  We went to the farm last Monday to celebrate Marc and Julia's birthdays with BB and Poppy.  It was a perfect day!

The weather was perfect for taking the boats on the water!

It was a wonderful day!  Marc and Daddy took Anastasia home for a nap so they could work, and the three middle children and we let them swim for while.

The next day, however, was rainy and dark and dreary.  It was the first day I really felt "trapped" in my home.  No one could go outside; the whole house felt dark.  Several appliances broke that day, and it seemed like a comedy of errors.  I realized how much the nice weather had been pulling me through the pandemic.  We decided to take our walk anyway.

The sweetest big brother turned 16 this week!

Here he is by his truck.  It's Poppy's old truck and it is amazing!

The day turned out to be kind of sad.  He had a lot of homework (including writing a history paper on the Black Death).  Also, it rained so we couldn't go for a walk or do anything nice outside.  The DMV is closed for who-knows-how-long.    His present was a new car radio/back-up-camera that we couldn't go get or wrap.  We decided to make a nice dinner to turn it around.

The boys helped me make Auntie Leila's chocolate cake and it was delicious!

Charlie LOVES to cook.  All the children love to cook, but Charlie is ALWAYS in the kitchen with me.  I love the help!  :)

The boys grilled out steaks per Marc's request.

I told my Mom I was firing on all cylinders for the birthday dinner.

When Annie likes food she says "Mmmmm...mmmm" and rubs her tummy.  :)

He is adding to his personal tool collection.

The TC Squad made him a silly gag gift.

It was a pig made from an Easter egg.

Let me tell you- Anastasia LOVES corn on the cob!  She would NOT put it down for a second.  :)

And surprise of suprises- we found out the radio place WAS open.  Apparently stores related to cars are "essential services."  So now he has a backup camera (we insisted since Annie is still so little and the truck is so big), a navigator and blue tooth phone.....i.e. there is NEVER a need to touch that cell phone while driving.  :)  Happy Birthday Marky!  You are 6'5 now, but you are still my baby and the sweetest boy.  We are so proud of you!
