March Part 3- Florida Trip- Universal Studios

With Marc graduating this year we tried to get to all the things we wanted to see before he leaves.  The children reminded us that we had NEVER taken them to Universal.  That seems impossible since we go to Orlando every year to see family, but it was true.  So we finally, finally did a Universal trip- better late than never!  We had a vacation planner help us and for a family of 7 it is actually cheaper to stay one night in a resort and get free fast passes than it is to buy the two days of fast passes.  So we got to stay at the Loews Portofino Resort (although we were hardly ever there and never even saw the pool).

Tucker was chosen at the wand shop.  We are not huge Harry Potter fans and have not read the books, but it was still magical to see it all.

Lunch included chocolate wings at the Chocolate Emporium!

Butter Beer is delicious.

Aunt Amber surprised us and gave the boys robes!  She is so generous!

The boys got soaked on the Dudley Do-Right ride!  Then we headed the hotel for the evening.

We were up early the next day for the second day of fun!  The boys would NOT take off those robes! :)

I lost count on how many times I took Anastasia on The Cat in the Hat. :)

We headed out after the 2nd day and started for home.  Universal was such a pleasant surprise.  I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, but we had a really great time.  The perfect weather certainly helped!
