This Afternoon....

Today I was watching Nanny 911 during nap and Marky woke up and saw a few minutes of it.

Mommy: Marky see those children on there? Are they obeying their parents?

Marky: No, mommy, they are not listening to the Holy Spirit. They are listening to vice. We should pray for them.

I am not kidding. Mommy will remember those words for a long time.

Mothers Day

Well I'm having a very nice Mother's Day. We have our monthly couple's Bible Study tonight and I made dessert- "Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding" from Paula Dean (and no, it actually doesn't have 5 sticks of butter in it- even though it is from Paula). It takes banana pudding up a level if I do say so myself. Notice my roses from my sweet family. Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers out there- especially mine!

Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding
From: Paula Dean

2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 to 8 bananas, sliced 2 cups milk
1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Shana's Birthday

Shana's Birthday is Thursday so we celebrated last night. The family took her to Ruby Tuesdays and we had a lot of fun. Afterwards, Marc took the kiddos home and Shana and I went to see "What Happens in Vegas". It was okay.
We sang happy birthday and Julia kept saying "yea Shana, yea Shana"
BY FAR, the most interesting thing to happen last night was when a bride and groom came in Ruby Tuesdays and waited in line to get a table like any old couple. They had the full tux and gown and veil. It was so unusual. They hadn't even called ahead. You would think it was a last minute wedding except she had a gown. To each his own!

All about Marky

If you can't read it says:
What's your favorite color? blue
What do you want to be when you grow up? A knight
If you were an animal, what would you be? A giraffe
If you had one hundred dollars, what would you buy? A robot

To me- stuff like this is too precious for words. Such BOY answers. If he had $100 of course he'd get a robot! I love, love, love little boys.

From my angel boy for Mother's Day

What can you say about a boy that thinks you are pretty and weigh 56 pounds. I'm in love.

Dear Jason Castro....

You seem like such a nice young man- but really...it's time to go. Please America- keep Syesha- who can actually sing- and let Jason and his hair find their own way.

Postscript: Yeah American heard me! Even though I'm hardly as into this Idol as I have been years past- I'm glad to see there aren't too many upsets (besides Brooke).
