Days with my little guys and Sunday pics

This week with the older children gone gave me a good opportunity to really enjoy these baby boys.  Oh, they make my heart sing.  :)

Tucker went to Catholic Kids Week at church in the mornings so Charlie and I went on a few adventures one on one.  He is SUCH a good boy by himself- he holds my hand and obeys so well.   :)

Tucker had a great time at Catholic Kids Week.  The theme was the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.

Tucker had a great time.  On Friday they had mass and then the children knelt before the tabernacle to sing "Jesus, My Lord and My God" to their Savior.  It is a gorgeous hymn written by Frederick William Faber.   He was an Anglican who converted to Catholicism in the 1800s.  He wrote the famous hymn "Faith of our Fathers" as well.

Jesus, my Lord, my God, my all,
How can I love Thee as I ought?
And how revere this wond'rous gift,
So far surpassing hope or thought.
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore.
O make us love Thee more and more!
O make us love Thee more and more!

Had I but Mary's sinless heart,
To love Thee with, my dearest King;
O with what bursts of fervent praise,
Thy goodness, Jesus, would I sing!
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore.
O make us love Thee more and more!
O make us love Thee more and more!

O, see, within a creature's hand,
The vast Creator deigns to be,
Reposing infant-like, as though
On Joseph's arm, on Mary's knee.
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore.
O make us love Thee more and more!
O make us love Thee more and more!

Thy body, soul, and Godhead, all--
O mystery of love divine!
I cannot compass all I have,
For all Thou hast and art are mine.
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore.
O make us love Thee more and more!
O make us love Thee more and more!

Sound, sound His praises higher still,
    And come ye Angels to our aid;
'Tis God, 'tis God, the very God,
Whose power both man and angels made.
Sweet Sacrament, we Thee adore.
O make us love Thee more and more!
O make us love Thee more and more!

Tucker LOVES this song and sings it all day every day.  :)

Tucker has figured out he doesn't get in as much trouble when he gets out of bed at night if he attaches something spiritual to it.  So the other night we said, "what are you doing out of bed?" and he said, "oh I needed to show you this activity I did- this is baby Jesus with Mary and Joseph."  Pretty slick- can't get mad that he was showing us baby Jesus.  :)

The boys are glad to have Sissy home- dress up isn't the same without the ringleader.  :)

Yesterday we painted the pottery that the children made at camp.  I think it's adorable.  :)

A new Steak and Shake opened up by our house and children eat free on Saturdays and Sundays.  That's my kind of place.  :)

And lastly, here are a few Sunday pics-

It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness...

....especially at bedtime.  :)  We love you Mr. T!

Last day of camp

I picked up my happy campers yesterday.  They both said they had the time of their lives and couldn't wait to do it again next year.  Marc had lost his voice and by the pictures and stories I can tell why.  They said they started off Friday by going to mass.  At one point a monk that lives there took them on a tour of the church and explained the different parts.  I would have liked to been on that tour myself!  After all that it was back to the camp stuff, water games and the egg drop competition.  :)

Marc said he caught a big fish this time.

By the way, here are the pictures from when we dropped Marc off to his room-

And let me just say- even with their age difference- brothers are brothers!  They are best buddies and wrestle at any chance.   :)
