This and that

As we have lived in constant construction these past two months or so, we decided we might as well add some more projects.  :)  In our old house, our dining room was navy blue and I LOVED it.  I always had in the back of my mind that I would like to paint our dining room navy.  So I went to the paint store and just jumped a few rows over from the kitchen color so it would compliment.  I love it.

I don't have an after picture, but trust me.  :)

A friend our ours joined the army and had a drive-by send off.

Annie loves to slurp "pasketti."

We got back from the beach and jumped back into school the next day.  The older two go to co-op classes and we are happy they are able to meet in person.  And this year- Marky can drive them!  They are so grown- my freshman and junior.

And here is the first day for our 4th grader, mascot and 6th grader.  :)

Charlie spent his birthday money from Zaza and Big Grandpa on some fun toys.

While we were at the beach they completed the downstairs ceiling and painted it.  When we got home we got the basement in order and it is so nice to have that area again.  They laid down new wood under the dishwasher and straight across the kitchen.  We have to let it acclimate for 2 weeks before staining it, but at least we can FINALLY FINALLY use the kitchen!

They came and tore out our old kitchen on June 18th.  That day the contractor lady said, "You will be amazed at how fast this will go.  You will be eating in your new kitchen by June 26th."  :)  haha!!  Well, we finally ate a meal in our kitchen for the first time on AUGUST 19th!  And it was lovely.

Marc got his official football pictures in- we love them!

This picture is so sad-

He played in their first game against a school in Selma, Al, last Friday.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!  I forgot how much fun high school football is.  We loved it!

Go Lightning!

They shocked us and had Marc play free safety.  He did great!!  And they played in the rain!  We just stood under umbrellas until they finally called the game at half time.  We won!

Here are a few shots of angel baby from two Sundays ago.

Anastasia calls our pastor, "Pater."  She couldn't say "Father" when she was little and pater is father in Latin.  The other day she put on Julia's chapel veil, laughed, and said, "I am going to go see Pater!"

She LOVES playing on playgrounds.  She will see it and say, "Hooray!  Annie luz a playground!"

A game of Apples to Apples the other night.  Julia and I are always cold and wrap up in blankets.  The boys love a freezing house.

Walked by and she was "reading" very intently.

eio

Don't know when I will get used to Marky being taller than 6'4 Daddy.

Little Dumpy Doo LOVES to "jump in muddy puddles".  We cannot walk by one without her bouncing in.  She is fortunate we have just the spot in the front walkway.  And to think- I used to think of our flood-prone walkway as a negative?  :)

We went to Marc's first home game this Friday.  It was awesome.  The weather was perfect, and again, they won!

Tucker, per his usual, made a sign.  Signs are truly his love language.  :)

We had a wonderful surprise when TONS of our friends showed up to the game.   They all screamed for Marky and I know everyone wanted to know who the heard of fans was for the "new guy."  :)

At the end of the game the boys RAN out onto the field and cheered some more!  Marc felt like a celebrity.

Julia having lunch with her friend.

And now we are back under construction.  We had to box up every book and lamp and rug and all our china as they come to refinish ALL the floors on the main floor.  They all connect and there was no good way to do only part.

They came this morning and moved all the furniture from the kitchen, den, laundry, and our bedroom into the front living room and dining room.

And all this trouble because of our new kitchen floor boards-
