Today we did the pumpkin patch thing. In the past we've gone to the BIG pumpkin patches with the hayrides, trains, animals, etc. This year is the first year we just did a little church pumpkin patch. And the truth is, I think I had more fun. There was NO crowd and the kids weren't so overwhelmed. They played in the jump castles, got their faces painted, got fake
tattoos that said "shine with the light of Jesus", walked in the cookie walk (
Julia kept walking) and decorated four small pumpkins.

Here is my pumpkin with his two scarecrow friends John Paul and Joseph.

And here is
Juliabug's girlfriend, Ann Marie. And yes, Julia carried "tiger" everywhere today.

And now the face-painting shots. The painters said they liked that Julia gave them such a large canvas to work with! Those are some big cheeks little girl!

Was this the Shadow Lake pumpkin patch? We were over there Friday with cousins but the weather did not allow us to go. Let me know which one this was. Sounds great. Crowds with 3 kids and no hubby is no fun.
We went to a small pumpkin patch this year, too and it was very nice! I wish Owen would have let his face be painted this weekend. he insisted only his hand. He would have had a nice big canvas, too!
julia looks just like bebe in that top picture!
