St. Augustine Part 2- Marineland and Fountain of Youth

The only little hiccup on our trip was that our air conditioning went out in the condo on Thursday.  They were unable to repair it that day so we slept in a HOT condo that night.  The next morning I had no interest in hanging out around the condo so we went on a jaunt to Marineland!  We had the best time!

We signed the children up for the dolphin encounter!  Here they are listening to the instructions on how to touch and feed the dolphins-

It was totally amazing!!!!  They loved it!!!

And the little dolphin gave them a "wet goodbye!"

The faces of some very happy children!

We went out to lunch and when we came home the air conditioning was working perfectly!  Soon Zaza and Big Grandpa arrived with cousin Landin!  We all went to the beach-

After the beach we went to the pool-

While everyone got showered up Zaza and I made dinner.  After dinner we played Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on the Wii.  Everyone loves to play!

On Saturday the weather was beautiful!  Our room overlooked a lake and we had a treat watching river otters play!   We loved using the binoculars and playing with the bubbles.

We went into town for lunch-

And then it was off to see the Fountain of Youth!

We all had a drink from the spring.  :)  It didn't work for Ponce de Leon, but you never know.  :)

We enjoyed a show in the planetarium-

They also have a theater with a 30 foot illuminated globe that shows the journeys of the Spanish explorers.  Tucker absolutely loved this!

They have many peacocks roaming about.  I was amazed to see them perched high in the trees!

We went to a weapons demonstration and saw them work the crossbow and cannon.

The children climbed the lookout tower-

And we watched a gun demonstration-

These two cannons were from the USS Constitution!

We came home and had Big Grandpa's famous ribs for supper.  Then it was off to the beach for the evening!

I've never seen so many shells- it was like pavement!

Tucker and Charlie said, "we found a dinosaur footprint!"  The they admitted that "actually we made it ourselves."  :)

My little girl- beautiful inside and outside.

Nightfall didn't stop us- we built using light from flashlights!

Going on a crab hunt!

Then they walked out to the sandbar in the ocean.

What's more fun than nighttime dancing in the ocean-
