This and that

This week the little boys went to a day camp at the gym called "Superhero Sizzle."  Ever since they saw the sign about it they begged to go.  I think they had a good time.  They played gym games, swam and even had a field trip to the bowling alley.

They love rolling around in the gym-

And dodge ball-

The last day of camp they had the option of wearing a superhero costume.  Charlie went as Iron Man.

Tucker, for some reason, wanted to wear his knight costume.  :)

I think he wanted to be a knight because he's becoming more and more into chess.  When we went to the bookstore the other day he said, "I need a book on chess!"  He searched and searched for one until he found one.   He has read the whole thing and carries it around.

His piggy bank had broken so when we ordered a new one he wanted a rook!  :)

When little man is obsessed with something he reads about it, draws it, talks about it nonstop.  We've already been through the space phase, the flags, the countries, states, etc.  Now it's definitely chess.

He still can't swim, but the doctor says his toe is healing well.

I took advantage of having no-swim Tucker gone by taking the older children swimming.  .  I had looked forward to doing a lot of water parks and rivers this summer as all four children swim well, but Tucker's broken toe has changed everything.  The older two and I spent one day at the pool and the next day we went to the water park Alabama Splash Adventure and had a blast!

We just hung around here for the Fourth.  We got a lot of organizing done.

We read this-

And watched a documentary on the Declaration of Independence from Amazon-

Magnatiles are a big deal around here!  They still play with them all the time and build beautiful things.

Tucker's tomato plant has been dying and today we figured out why.  A luna moth caterpillar is eating all his tomatoes!

The very hungry caterpillar....
