Tucker's 12th Night Birthday Party

Tucker's birthday is always the vigil of Epiphany, the 12th day of Christmas.  It's the day we celebrate the Wise Men coming to visit Jesus.  It seems so appropriate that Tucker would be born on a day celebrating astronomers.  :)  Since Epiphany was on a Saturday this year we had a little Epiphany dinner at our home.

Tucker helped so much by making a guest list of his buddies and their families.  Then he helped us get ready by making the cupcake toppers.  He wanted every one to be different- it was so precious!

It was so cold outside we brought the picnic table from the porch into the foyer for children to sit on.  :)  Children also sat in the kitchen and a few brave ones on the porch.  :)

I have to brag on Daddy.  I bought tons of ingredients to make ziti for our 50 guests, but got very nauseas and sick Friday night and was too tired to make it (pregnancy nausea).  Marc said, "don't worry- just show me your recipe and I'll handle it."  I gave him  the cookbook and he cooked 9 lbs of ziti, 7 lbs of meat and made three giant pans of ziti.  Way to go, Daddy!

Happy Birthday dear Tucker.....

After dinner and dessert Marc read the Christmas story and the children acted it out!

Joseph and Mary-

Shepherds-

Angels-

The three kings- and Tucker was had the Star of Bethlehem taped to a broom.  ::)  Big brother was King Herod.

After the play we sang "We Three Kings," "O Come, All ye Faithful, and "Joy to the World."

Then we had all the children sing, "We Wish you a Merry Christmas!"

Such a sweet night!
