May 2022 Part 2- Graduation, Ballet Recital, Piano recital, Graduation party

As I mentioned last post, May 2022 was one of the busiest months of our lives.  Almost every single day had a big event.  After celebrating Marc's very last Birmingham Boys Choir Concert, Zaza was happy to see Anastasia's "ballet exhibition".  Annie took two ballet classes this year- one at her preschool and one with church friends.  Her church friends ballet didn't have a recital, but had a sweet day where they let us come and see what they learned.  Zaza laughed so hard.  We loved seeing our silly girl (who was youngest in the class) dance.

Julia was so excited to take Zaza to meet April!

As always, we had Zaza's beauty shop running. She gave Julia a big summer cut.

We all get great hair cuts when Zaza comes to town!

We always love family game nights.

Zaza curled Julia's hair for her Friday night piano recital.

She was AMAZING!  So talented!

And she was presented with an trophy for scoring "Superior" for three years in a row in the Hymn Festival.

After the recital we went out for ice cream.

Saturday morning we all got up and went to see our beautiful Dandelion dance in her preschool dance recital!

She did SO GREAT!  She was happy and joyful and DANCING!

After the recital, we went to get lunch and then headed to Marc's graduation!  This is life with five children- events upon events!  :)  Charlie had started feeling bad so Julia kept him and Anastasia at home.

Marc gave a beautiful invocation prayer.

That night we went out for hibachi- a tradition when we have Marc's family in town.

Then we got home and got ready to host Marc's almost 100 person graduation party.  We invited the people who have been directly involved in his life especially his friends and their families.

Friends of ours smoked tons of pork for the party and another friend made a giant pasta salad and another made delicious baked beans.  They are so helpful and kind to us!

He got so many graduation cards and gifts.  People are so generous, and we are so grateful for our friends and family.

After a marathon week of a choir concert, two ballet recitals, a piano recital, graduation and graduation party- Zaza finally flew home.  We were SO GRATEFUL she was able to be here with us for everything.
