July was a busy month of construction on our new kitchen. The children worked on math and typing, and we had a relaxing July. It was so much fun having the new appliances delivered and installed.
They are so clean inside that I don't want to cook! :)
Marc is driving now all day every day. He drives everyone to their events including math and music lessons. He drives Julia to horseback riding and the orthodontist. He even got a job working at the horse farm where Julia rides. He also drives to football every day. We went from zero to a thousand it seems.
Anastasia's favorite show in the world is Peppa Pig and now she talks like a British lady. She calls her bathing suit a "swimming costume". She calls flashlights "torches" and she says "wah-tuh" instead of water and "Dah-dee" for Daddy. She doesn't usually sit still for the show, she actually turns her chair over and uses it as a slide. :)
We went to Alabama Adventure again the other day and ran into a bunch of friends that we had no idea would be there! It was so much fun!
Tucker and Marc both went down the steep slide-
We took Annie and Charlie to a birthday party for Victoria the other day. He was so good with her.
Sam and Annie. The two-year-old crew.
Our kitchen was supposed to be done by June 23rd. It.was.not. :) We have gone out to dinner or gotten take-out for weeks!
I really wanted a picture of the children after lunch last Sunday, but couldn't get a good shot of them all. As we were taking pictures the bottom fell out and the worst storm overtook us. We all got completely SOAKED walking to the car!
See the rain start to fall?
Annie LOVES to snuggle up in bed with Mommy and the boys to watch a show.
Charlie is her best playmate- he still plays with toys like she likes. She loves "Sharshee".
Tucker and Charlie spray painted some boxes to make a ghost buster machine from Luigi's Mansion.
Anastasia found my lip STAIN. It was hard to get this off her sweet little face. And yes, she put it everywhere but her lips.
They finally, finally finished our kitchen. I love it so much. It is SO MUCH MORE FUNCTIONAL than our old one. I LOVE drawers- they make life so much easier. We were so happy to get the cabinets loaded up!
We painted it ourselves. In pictures, it almost appears to be the same color, but it is not. This blue is more wedgewood blue- a little deeper and move silver undertones than the powder blue it was before. Marky was so helpful- he taped, spackled, sanded and painted all day.
And now the kitchen is DONE! (Except for the floors, which will be refinished in two weeks).
Marky got his football uniform! He all of a sudden looked so much older!
After six years, we FINALLY went out in Poppy's boat the other day! I don't know why we haven't done it, but it was awesome! The children LOVED it. Marky felt so old driving the truck from the boat ramp.
Meanwhile, BB kept Anastasia and had a nice day. They swam and played at the farm.
