June- Part 2- Destin, Christendom, Ballet Camp, North Carolina

In the middle of June, while Julia was at Camp Kahdelea, we flew Marc Jr. to The Best Week Ever at Christendom College in Front Royal, VA.  The next day we went to Sandestin Beach Resort to the ADLA Conference where Marc was a speaker.  It was fun having just our little folks along.

The Wharf has so much fun stuff to do!  We had a ball!

One night we were there we watched a fireworks show from the balcony.

The kids and I swam all day with our friends while the dads worked, but I don't have many pictures of that.

Both boys did the zipline across the lake!

They were great about having kids activities while parents went to dinners-

It was a great little conference and time with our littles.  During this trip Julia was at camp, and Marky went to Christendom College's Best Week Ever.  He had the BEST time.  He took classes in Philosophy, Literature, History and Theology and had tons of fun dances and outdoor activities like hiking and boating.  I was proud that he jumped right in- he even joined the schola. The last night they had a talent show and he and some guys sang "Misty Mountains" from The Hobbit.  :)

Here he is participating in a debate-

We also celebrated Father's Day with Marc and Poppy-

In June, Anastasia went to her first four-day ballet class.  It was just preciousness overload.  She was the youngest in the class, but she did great and LOVED LOVED LOVED it!

We still play follow the leader and games in the side yard after supper.  So glad Daddy has the energy to keep this tradition going.

Simon Says-

Tucker worked on making flags with lego pieces!

Baby girl likes a snack.  :)

We went to Alabama Adventure Water park A LOT this summer.  It was so much fun!!

Annie loves to get her "laptop" and "go work with Daddy."  She often says, "I need to get to my work."  :)

At the end of June, we made a surprise trip up to Brevard, NC, to pick up Julia from Camp Kahdalea.  She thought only Daddy was coming to get her and was surprised when all of us (except Marky) came!  We got a cabin in Sapphire, NC, so she wouldn't have to make the long drive home all night.  We took a few nights to enjoy that extra beautiful part of the country.  The drive up wore Anastasia out.  Like all of our children, she doesn't sleep in a car well and road trips are hard.

Surprise, Sissy!!!!!  We missed you!

Our cabin had a membership to a country club, so we had a great time swimming and enjoying the amenities.

Marc having fun with friends.
