We had been told that we had to see Sedona when we were in that part of the country so we made sure to visit for a day. It was really something to see- the beautiful red rocks and lovely town. And again, driving there was just as much fun as being there.
After a long day exploring Sedona we drove back to the Grand Canyon, had overpriced Mexican food, and went swimming before bed. It was a great, relaxing day!
Our last day out west was Marky's 17th birthday! We drove back to Las Vegas to celebrate our guy! Another beautiful drive through the desert.
We got checked in to our hotel in Vegas and all freshened up for Marky's birthday dinner. We felt like we were in Ocean's 11 walking through town all dressed up.
We had made reservations at Prime Steakhouse at the Bellagio.
We sat on the beautiful veranda overlooking the fountain show. Every 30 minutes the fountains danced to classical music, including one of my favorite pieces of music from Somewhere in Time. It was truly MAGICAL!
The boys said the steak was the best they ever had!
They had a photographer come through-
And they brought Marc birthday macaroons!
The Bellagio has a GORGEOUS indoor botanical garden that we toured-
Then we watched the evening fountain show, which was so AWESOME! The water danced to "Luck Be a Lady Tonight" and we were all cheering! It was so much fun!
Then we walked and got ice cream!
We walked to the MGM Grand for Part 2 of the evening- David Copperfield! The children asked if he was as good as "Michael Carbonaro". :) Ha! He is the GOAT!
David Copperfield is still doing it! His show was a lot of fun and truly magical- he disappeared, things appeared out of nowhere- even over our heads! The children loved it!
The theater was full by showtime, we got there early!
The last day we got up extra early to head on home. The children did great traveling!
We will never forget this magical trip! We are so grateful for being able to make it work.
And so happy to come home safe to our little baby girl! So happy to be "back in baby's arms." :)
And the only way this trip was possible at all was the HEROIC work of BB, who kept Anastasia for five days by herself! Thank you SO MUCH BB!!!!!!
