More this and that

Just a few pics of baby's curls.  :)

She is truly the happiest baby.  Always, always smiling and joyful!

Happy Fall!!!

Our flag football players with their cheerleader!

The last week and a half we have had painters painting all of our foyer and den.  Including the ceilings, moldings, fireplace, bookshelves- the works!  I had no idea our foyer ceiling was not white until they started painting?!

You know what's tricky- homeschooling with painters in the house.  Even trickier is keeping an active two year old out of the paint!

I kept finding her on ladders!

So much prep work goes into things!  They had to putty and sand every single nail hole from years of living and moving pictures around.

And picking a color was SO HARD.  I would like one color at night and another during the day.  Lighting makes such a difference!   We started with three choices, but we kept adding and in the end it was the 12th choice that we used!  Elmira White by Benjamin Moore for the walls, Alabaster by Sherman Williams for the trim.

We celebrated Michaelmas!  We have always used cocktail swords for St. Michael's day, but this year I had no time to make a devil's food cake.  Little Debbie helped us out!  We also had blackberries for the legend that Lucifer was thrown into a blackberry bush when he was cast out of heaven.

We couldn't find our St. Michael figurine, so Tucker said he would make one out of play dough!  He did a great job!

Right after was the feast day of St. Jerome, who translated the Bible into Latin.  There is a famous story about him taming a lion, so we made a cinnamon roll lion for dessert.

Daddy has always played "Follow the Leader" in the side yard with our babies.  Here they are in 2013-

Annie loves it, and joins right in!

And now prepare for Anastasia Rose overload, because she had picture day last week and I LOVED it!

Picking up the happiest girl from Moms Day Out.  She always says, "Hi Mommy!!!  I had a fun day!  I played with my baby friends!"

Tucker's love language is signs.  :)  He makes a new sign for every event we attend!

I had to leave the game at half time last Friday because pumpkin was ready for bed.  :)

The finished foyer!  It's hard to tell in this pic the color, but it's a nice, warm neutral.  The stairs and spindles are all fresh white.  It just feels neat and clean.  I got a new secretary for the entrance as well- I could never find one narrow enough for that spot, but saw this at an antique store last weekend.  :)

We went with a group of children to hike and play at the state park.  It was the best day- football, basketball, playgrounds, hikes, picnic, scooters, metal detectors- everyone had fun!

Marky carried Anastasia in the backpack.  I went back and looked at her in it last October when we hiked in the Smokey Mountains National Park- she has grown so much!

Sunday was the feast day for St. Francis of Assisi!  We made wolf paw cookies in honor of the story of him taming the wolf of Gubbio, Italy.  To this day, there is a statue of St. Francis and the wolf over the wolf's grave!

There is a famous story about St. Francis's sermon to the birds.  We made pinecone bird feeders for our feathered friends.

Annie enjoying jelly at Cracker Barrel.  :)

We hosted our Teams of Our Lady prayer group the other night and loved the fall coziness-

And that's all for now!  :)
