Marky: He was both at the same time.
Mommy: That's right, He had a dual nature. But why did He become a man?
Marky: He had to so He could save us.
Mommy: But why a MAN? Why did He have to become a man?
Marky: (seeming shocked I don't understand this)....Because He had to take the penalty of our sin upon Himself. Otherwise we would have taken the penalty for our sin and died. That's how He saves us.
Mommy: Oh.
