This week and weekend has been crazy busy- we are getting ready for our big trip- and we had overnight guests all weekend (that would be Holly the fashionista and her precious family who are moving here and looking for a new home).
Now I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row and my house clean and the summer clothes out (or buy new ones- Marc and Julia grow so fast I don't think they can wear almost anything from last summer).
We did manage to name littlest man- he is Charles Augustine Ayers. Also to be known as "Fat Charlie" (b/c all my babies are chunky monkeys) and with his brother "Tuck and Chuck". :) He may also go by "Gus" from Augustine. And by the way, that's A-GUS-tin NOT AU-gus-teen.
He is named after St. Charles and St. Augustine, but it's also a "nod" to Charles Martel- the famous warrior who won the battle of Tours- one of the most important battles in the world as it preserved Christianity in Europe- and it's a "nod" to Charlemagne- the first Holy Roman Emperor. So that's that.

Oh I LOVE his name! It's great!
So excited to hear it and can't wait to hear about the big trip!
Excellent, excellent name. Very much dig the Charles Martel reference.
And as a bonus, if he ever starts a boxing, MMA or pro wrestling career, he can go by "THE HAMMER."
Come to think of it, there's a TV attorney in Texas with that handle, so it'll work for law, as well...
Thank you for your prayers and encouraging messages over the past week. We may not see each other often, but you are a dear friend. By the way, I love the beautiful, stong name you picked out for your precious baby boy.
Love it Donna! Have fun on your trip. Can't wait to see pictures
