Sing out with Joy- Caroling and Concerts!

We had a very musical weekend!  On Saturday Marc, Marky and Tucker had a long rehearsal for the boys choir concerts.  Every other year that Dads sing in the Christmas concert.  After rehearsals they met us at a nursing home to go caroling with the American Heritage Girls.  It was a precious time, the residents were so grateful.

On Monday afternoon the boys sang in their first of two concerts.  They did a great job- they really are a first-class amazing choir with 160 boys!

Marky had a short solo this year and did very well.

On Monday evening BB, Poppy, Julia, Charlie and I went to the concert and had a ball.

Tucker sings in the "Jr. Choristers"- grades 3-5-

We love you and are so proud of you Tuck Tuck!

I am so proud of this young man.

They were singing Lullay, mine liking- a gorgeous 15th century poem with a refrain from Mary to her baby, "Lullay, my liking, my dear Son, my Sweeting, Lullay, my Dear Heart, my own Dear Darling."

Daddy (on the far right) singing with Tucker (second boy from the right)-

The men and graduate choristers sounded amazing- the did an ancient Latin hymn with a haunting drum beat-

Tucker ringing his bells for the last song- Sleigh Ride-

Marc collecting money at the end- great job boys!

I said, "Did you enjoy singing?" and he jumped in the air and said, "100 percent!!!!"  This little boy loves to sing.  He told me, "My heart is warm with Christmas joy."  :)

My handsome singers!  What a fun night!
