Our annual Gaudete party!

Saturday night we hosted 70 people for our annual Gaudete Sunday (the pink candle on the advent wreath- a little break in advent for JOY) party!  It was such a nice night and my generous friends helped me get it together and not be overwhelmed!  As usual I was moving and shaking as the hostess and didn't really have time for great pictures.

We did our annual reading from Handel's Messiah- always so touching!  Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the World!

And we had carol singing, which is my favorite part of the evening- we have wonderful singers amongst us!  "Fear not," then said the angel, "Let nothing you affright!" This day is born a Savior of pure or Virgin bright, To free all those who trust in Him from Satan's power and might, O tidings of comfort and joy...

The dessert table- such treats to be had!
