Packing and loading the car was not bad- especially since the little boys packed themselves. They call themselves the "TC Squad" and they left met his note so I would know it was handled. :)
They call their stuffed animals "teddys". :)
Marky loaded the car for us and we were off.
We prayed and listened to CDs, but when it was time for the older children to watch a movie (it was a 10 hour trip) we would let Anastasia watch a baby show on the phone. The children wore head phones so she didn't have to hear the chaos of "big kid" shows. And then I played classical music when she slept. It worked great!
That said, I did say somewhere along the way, "This was a crazy idea, we are breaking the trip up on the way home. Ten hours is too much for baby girl."
We got to Aunt Amber's around 8:30 and Anastasia was happy to get some cuddles!
The next day we spent relaxing at the house. Zaza and Grandpa came up and the children swam. (Yes, Uncle Tim and Aunt Amber live have a lovely home!)
After Mass, Zaza and Grandpa watched all the children while we adults went to watch Tim (my brother-in-law is a professional comedian and TV host on HSN) open for Lionel Richie!!! It was such a fun night!!! We got complimentary tickets to the front row of our section and danced all night.
Tim did GREAT! The crowd was howling! He had 6,000 people roaring with laughter.
When he came to the seat all these people came and told him how funny he was and wanted selfies with him. :)
Lionel Richie was amazing! He has had so many hits- all of his songs are awesome! "Easy Like Sunday Morning...."
"Dancing on the Ceiling..."
"Stuck on You....Got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose...."
"You're once, twice, three times a Lady- and I love you." Love theses songs!
"Hello.... Is it me your looking for?"
The next day was Disney day. Amber gave us free park-hopper tickets and arranged for the most amazing VIP tour! We had a private driver that dropped us off at each ride we wanted- then he walked us in so we didn't have to stand in line. We went to ALL FOUR parks and road everything we wanted! It was such an amazing day!!
We started at Animal Kingdom and visited the new Pandora area. We road the Avatar rides and Everest.
Then we moved on to Magic Kingdom and road Pirates of the Caribbean, Thunder-mountain Railroad, Little Mermaid, and Haunted Mansion.
Our Gastons!
We loved Soarin'! It is amazing!
We walked over 9 miles- Marky's fitbit had over 20,000 steps.
While we had our epic Disney VIP tour day, Zaza and Grandpa kept Anastasia. They had a blast with her. She is on a great schedule so she took two long naps (5 hours of naptime!) for them. Schedule your babies and people can help you!
We forgot Annie's high chair seat so I told Zaza to try to use the stroller. Apparently squirmy girl could not sit still in the stroller to be fed. :)
It was such a fun time! We had originally planned to go to Disney again on Monday with Anastasia, but we were so worn out we decided to save those tickets for next time. We spent the day with family and letting the children swim. Around lunch time we headed out and drove a little over half way home. We woke up Tuesday and had breakfast in the hotel before heading home.
We got home Tuesday in time for the children's art class, Julia's math tutoring and Marc's lacrosse game! Whew! We had such a wonderful little break to see our family. So grateful for these babies and our adventures!
