Beach Trip Part 2

Everyone was a bit sunburned from the weekend so we took a day to go to Pensacola, FL, and see the National  Naval Aviation Museum.  We went three years ago with Zaza and Grandpa, but the younger ones didn't remember.   On that past trip we had also discovered McGuire's Irish Pub and were excited to go back!

The entire ceiling of the huge, rambling building is covered in dollar bills!  And they have bean soup for 18 cents- the same price since they started.  We all tried it and loved it.

The museum is on the grounds of the base-

Pensacola is home to the Blue Angels!

They have a great indoor playground for children.  Even Anastasia had fun!

We saw an awesome movie on Apollo 11.  All the footage and sound was original and it was thrilling! Anastasia was a good baby and sat through the whole movie.

We came home and cooked and ate dinner while Anastasia took a late nap.  Then when she woke up we went for an after-dinner swim.

She is this happy ALL.THE.TIME.  What a jolly little creature!

The Mambo seat works exceedingly well!!  She is free and easy!  (Obviously, we never leave her side).

After baths and putting Anastasia down we played Bingo all night.  :)

The next day we walked to the open-top slide- always a favorite.  Daddy worked and kept Annie for her morning nap.  Then he brought her to meet us with lunch packed in the cooler.

After a long day of swimming we went to Wahlburgers for dinner.

Marky had his last online history class (which he did from the car in the parking lot) so we killed time playing in the arcade.

We came in and read Kon Tiki.  We are reading that in all our spare moments in the trip and are captivated by the TRUE story of a man building a raft to sail 4,000 miles from Peru to Polynesia to prove it could be done.  He was supporting his theory that Tahiti, Easter Island, etc were first established by settlers from Peru, which people thought was impossible as Peruvians didn't have boats at that time.
