Juniors (3-5th graders)-
That same week before we left we had our homeshool co-op's field day! It's a fun day of competitions, relays and games.
Tucker won the sack race in his age group by DIVING over the finish line! He won by a nose!
This is Dumpcake the day she turned 11 months. She is doing "Tip me over and pour me out" from the I'm a Little Teapot song. :)
And then I found this Kapla block tower with a warning-
We found time for Marc and Tucker's well-child checkup last week. One of them is off the charts for height, one is normal. They are both healthy, thanks be to God.
Marc and I had our 18th anniversary this past week. The children went to spend the weekend with BB and Poppy and Marc and I had a staycation. We totally cleaned and organized our home, especially our closets, laundry room and bedroom. But we did find time to grab this cute picture that reminded us of our little "sheep". :)
And went out to two fun dinners.
And the children had the time of their lives at the farm, as always!
They picked radishes-
And Marky made a fire in the fireplace for s'mores!
They say Annie was happy, happy and happy!
And she slept like a charm. BB has a video monitor and can see all Annie's goings on. :)
There was a lot of bike, 4-wheeler, and golf cart driving.
And Marky drove the tractor!
We got the crew back on Sunday afternoon. On Monday we took Julia to rodeo camp- she will be staying there all week. Monday evening we cooked out Daddy's famous brown-sugar burgers and had a wonderful time.
We decided to leave dinner dishes on the table and go to the park and then to get ice cream. We had the best time at the park- we threw the football and Anastasia learned to play on the jungle gym for the first time.
She loved the slide!
Sadly, right after these pictures of the happiest day- Charliebear jumped out of his swing way too high and landed wrong. He completely broke both bones in his right arm above the wrist. It was devastating and looked just terrible. We drove him straight to the emergency room by our home. They got an IV and some meds started, but said he would have to be transferred to Children's Hospital.
The ambulance came to get him and they couldn't figure out how to pick him up without hurting his arm. He said, "Daddy can do it."
And Daddy did it. Daddy rode with him in the ambulance- sirens, lights and all- to Children's and I followed behind.
At Children's they put him to sleep to set the arm. We had to wait until he was awake and eating before we could go home at 2 a.m. And yes, Sheepy was with us for everything. :)
He is having to take it very easy. Many children break one bone and still have a stabilizer bone, but since he broke both bones he needs to rest and let it set. He is keeping it elevated for these first 2-3 days to reduce the swelling and pain associated with it. He has been SUCH A GOOD BOY. We are so proud of his brave behavior. He let them put in the IVs and poke and prod him without any complaint. We love you, Charliebear, and are so sorry this happened.
