BB: "Marky let me know when you get tired of holding him, and I will take him."
Marky: "I will never get tired of holding my brother."

What we're up to

Well I'm sure you expected some slow blogging due to my crash course into being a mom of three. Things are going well- the first few days were perfect and I felt like a million bucks. I will take post-partum woes over 9th-month-of-pregnancy woes any day of the week. I feel light as a feather and sleep better (when I get the chance). Things got a little crazy yesterday- I called it Murphy's Law day- everything went crazy- (picture Roto Rooter at my house at 10:30 p.m., dog's throwing up, pitchers of kool-aid being spilled, etc.). Even so, my new baby boy is an ANGEL. I'm totally in love with him and hold him all the time. The other babies are being great too- all in all we have a nice kind of peace over the house and I'm cherishing these things in my heart. Here are pics from the week-

Don't you want to scoop him up and love on him?

The kids love to watch him in the crib-

Julia got in and showed him how to turn on the mobile (I stood right there don't worry)- she is not jealous at all from what we can tell. She loves "baby Tucker" as she calls him.

A very good big sister explaining things to her baby brother-

I have had NO time to talk on the phone or check my e-mail or read anyone's blog so I'm WAY behind- but I hope to catch up soon. Just wanted to check in and say we are doing well and hanging in there- now I'm off to sleep....for two hours...maybe 3 if I'm lucky. : )

We're Home

Well we brought angel baby home today. I am so in love with this child- he seems to be very mellow and content. I just kiss him all day long.
This is Marky meeting Tucker for the first time. We handed him the baby and Tucker started to fuss and Marky on his own began singing "you are my sunshine" and I promise you...the baby stopped crying and looked up at Marky. We have the whole thing on video.
Cuddling with my snuggle bug...
Getting ready to go home-
His first car ride-
Thank you thank you for all your sweet comments. I LOVE having a blog- it means so much to hear from all your friends- new and old. We are so glad to be home.

I'm in love!

Well there are no words to thank you all for your prayers on our behalf. I felt literally lifted up in prayer today. Everything went wonderfully- and I was able to have little guy the normal way with no damage to him or myself.

Tucker McIntire Ayers arrived around 1:31 and weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long (not bad for being two weeks EARLY!). He is an absolute dollbaby and I can't believe how much I am already madly in love with him. I haven't put him in the crib once- I don't want to put him down!
You can't tell from the pics, but he was one big dimple in his right cheek- I think God put it there to give me a target for kissing. Thanks again for your well wishes and prayers- we will be coming home Wednesday!

I'm here in the hospital

Hey Everybody! I'm here in the hospital and so far things are going GREAT. I was so nervous I was going to have some type of clerical or other trouble and right when I walked in five beautiful nurses said, "welcome, you must be Mrs. Ayers, Dr. %$$$$ has told us all about you!" I knew it was going to be a great night. And even though my doctor was not on call- she came in anyway to handle my care. I ordered a delicious dinner, had a nice rest, prayed with my husband and slept okay. Now I've been up and showered, had my i.v. put in and am resting. Little baby boy is moving so much. After watching the International Dance competition on T.V. last night- I think he may really have a future in Irish Line dancing. He's definitely got the straight-leg coming-at-you kick down. Hopefully I can update this post after lunch with some big news. If you read this this morning, please say a prayer for a safe delivery.

Happy New Year!

Hope everybody had a great New Year's Day! Two friends of mine and I hosted a little brunch to celebrate the day. It was so nice and relaxing- and everybody stayed for a nice, long time and enjoyed themselves.
How cute are these mommies with their babies?
The lawyers talking shop on the back porch. Notice Marc's "tiger" sweatshirt- it was a gift from our friend Patrick (in the swing) and is a nod to one of the T.V. shows we watch, Flight of the Concords.

Christy and I at the brunch. She was good enough to make black eyed peas and collard greens so we are good for 2009! Oh- and if you are curious what we did for New Year's Eve- let's just say it involved eating mac and cheese, playing Go Fish with little man, and watching Golden Girls. That's how crazy it is over here.
