Rodeo Camp, this and that

Charlie is doing well with his cast.  He he had to keep it elevated for three days and take it very easy.  He has to be extra careful because he broke both bones in his arm and doesn't have a "stabilizer" bone that you have if you only break one.  He was dying to get out of the house the day after his accident so we took him on a stroll in the wagon.  We learned this trick when Tucker broke his foot in early June 2017 (the first of our three summers of no swimming)-

With the wagon and stroller we looked like a parade! :)

This baby girl LOVES to stroll- if she is ever a little "off" in the evening I throw her in the stroller (or bath) and she is happy, happy, happy.  :)

t

She always turns back to talk to the person strolling her.  :)

We had a special surprise this week when our pastor and another priest friend came to our home to bless Charlie after supper.

Sheepy has been a trooper and never left Charlie's side through his troubles.  :)

The first two night he slept on the sofa so we could get up all night giving him his pain meds and he could keep his arm elevated on the back cushions.  He got a private bedtime story- a treat in a big family.

He and Tucker built this confessional together.  We had gotten it a while back and saved it for a "rainy day."

The penitent can go face-to-face or behind the screen-

It even has working lights!  They have added it to our Church set that they keep growing- I need to get pictures of that as well.

Tucker made our family out of Legos!  He did a great job- it really does look like us-

Every May, the month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, a group of families goes up to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament for a May Crowning and picnic.  Here are just a few pics over the years-

And here we are this year!  We went on the 31st- we just made it in time!

We let Annie "meet" Nathan Michael-

It was a beautiful day with sweet friends, and the Lord gave us good weather!  Julia  missed the May Crowning because she was at sleepover Rodeo Camp all week.  She worked on her barrel racing and pole running.  They had a big horse show today to show off their skills- it was impressive!  Julia was flying!

So proud of all you are learning, Juliabug!
