A Royal Weekend

Well, BB and Poppy were in town for the weekend and we had a great time. They got to go to Marky's first t-ball game ever. Guess who is coaching again:
Really- I'm not a big fan of baseball because the games are so long and slow-moving, but we wanted him to know how to throw, catch and hit and he really enjoys it. And I think the uniforms are so cute. : )
That SAME DAY we had our joint birthday party for Marky and Julia- it was a knight and princess party! (you have to search for co-ed themes- Marky really wanted StarWars- and I know we may eventually have to do separate birthdays, but their b'days are only 4 days apart so it just works this way for now). THIS is how you feed a gaggle of kids:

Here is the princess- she is now three (or "free"):

Our craft was "make your own crown" where you pasted gems onto foam crowns. Look at Daddy handling the craft table- Marky made him that crown so he had to wear it!

Tucker chilled with BB most of the time- he was an angel.
We couldn't find a knight/princess themed cake so we did the photo cake with them in their costumes. They LOVED it- it was definitely their favorite cake ever.
Here is brave Sir Marc- he is telling you he is five. He only wore this costume for the first 30 minutes or so and then he changed into a t-shirt and basketball shorts- not exactly what I had in mind for his party, but it is HIS party.
And what's a royal affair without a 'castle'- jump castle that is. Our friend calls it the "napmaster 5000". I assure you that every child that left our party had a good nap.

And the pinata was a crown- this is the first year we got a "real" pinata and not just a "pull-string" kind. It really was fun-
All in all a great day. Many props to Shana for helping me set up and getting the balloons and also to Tally who did the precious invitations!

what a great and creative party. we have never attempted crafts. love the cake too. did catherine's husband name it the Napster 5000? that is my guess because it sounds like something Marc would say and well, they are twins
