Yesterday was the feast of the Ascension- celebrating Jesus ascending into heaven 40 days after Easter! Today we begin the Novena to the Holy Spirit to prepare for Pentacost. A novena is a 9-day prayer- and we are entering into the 9 days where Mary and the Apostles waited in the Cenacle for the Holy Spirit (the helper!) to come. Christians have been praying novenas ever since to immitate the Blessed Mother and the Apostles in their prayerful waiting.
If you want to join in the novena- the prayers are here. God bless you!
