Christmas Eve

We were so excited on Christmas eve.  We got ready for BB and Poppy to come.  The little boys and Julia helped me make a Christmas trifle.

Julia got a book from her Godmother that had Christmas music in it, and she played us carols! Tucker's favorite song is Silent Night and she learned it just for him.  Charlie loves "We Three Kings."  Tucker is singing Silent Night along with her in this picture.  :)

We always take a gift and sing to our sweet neighbors across the street who have no family in town.

When BB and Poppy got there we heard Santa coming on his firetruck and ran outside!

Then Santa went around the cul-de-sac and came back!

Hooray!

We came in and had our traditional Christmas eve dinner- grilled steaks, potatoes and Nanny's salad.

We always let the children open one present on Christmas eve.  This year they opened their presents from Aunt Judy (BB's sister).

Charlie got a pong game he loves!

Marky got a magic set that he worked with all night showing us tricks-

Julia got a charm bracelet kit and made several-

And Mr. T got a do-it-yourself planet display that he truly painted and put together by himself with help from no one.  When I asked him where he got brown for Mercury he said, "you know when you mix blue, yellow and red you get brown, Mommy."  I didn't know that.  :)  Combining space and crafts couldn't have been a more perfect gift for Tuck Tuck.

After presents we did our annual "12 Days of Christmas" song.  This year Charlie got to sing, "Five Golden WINGS!"  :)   They also sang all the words to Good King Wenceslas and We Three Kings.

After singing we went for a drive to look at Christmas lights.  Then we came home and Daddy read "The Nativity" to us before the children went to bed.

Right before bed Tucker brought Poppy a Christmas card he had made for him.  Marc had found it in our mailbox addressed "Poppy".  :)

It showed a fishing hook that was a candy cane-

...and said, "Merry Fishmas to you! From Tucker".  :)

After the children went to bed BB and Poppy helped us wrap the tons of gifts.  With all of us working together it went quickly.

Sissy got a real wooden cradle for her dolls from Zaza.  :)

Then we adults watched Christmas Vacation and went to bed!  :)
