Charliebear helped me make the baked ziti for Zaza and Grandpa's arrival on Tuesday.
Zaza and Grandpa got here in time to make it to Julia's horseback riding lesson. It was the first time they have seen her ride. They got to see her canter and jump the gate!
Grandpa brought straws and black-eyed peas and taught the children how
to "bean-shoot". :) They loved it and did it all week.
Sissy with a lizard. :)
On Wednesday we picked Amber and Landin up from the airport and had a family lunch at a hibachi grill- such a fun time!
The girls were shooting beans at targets. Marky was using grandpa's pellet gun to shoot paper plates and tin cans. They also shot water balloons. All the children had a try. It was a lot of fun!
That night we made our first fire of the season and let the children make s'mores!

Zaza had her beauty shop up and running- she cut everybody's hair!
And we played Apples to Apples, of course!
We set the camera on the front door handle and tried to get a family pic!
Notice the "turw-key" on Charlie's shirt. :)
After lunch we had a little recital. Julia and Marc played their piano songs and Landin sang. Then all the children sang "Away in a Manger."
So grateful to have a house full of loved ones! Zaza, Amber and I got to go shopping on Black Friday. We had a great time and Marc and Grandpa got to go see a movie one night. Saturday we went out to the farm- that's my next post!
