This and that

The mild weather has meant lots and lots of outdoors time this December!

While waiting for Marc to finish up basketball practice- Tucker became Uranus with his moons (and he will tell you that one of the moons has its own rings).   :)

Tucker often writes on his magnadoodle while going to bed.  Here is Uranus and the names of several of her moons-

Every night people are asking for hot chocolate around here!  :)  We have had wonderful nights praying and reading by the fire with hot chocolate.  These pics were from Thursday night- the feast day of St. Francis Xavier and his missions to India and Japan.  We read about his life from this book.  I love this book!  A lot of people know Andrew Lang from his "Red Fairy", "Blue Fairy," etc. books, but many don't know that he (and his wife) wrote this book about the saints!

We also watched this movie-

Waiting-

Stirring-

Cheers!

When Grandpa was here he taught Marky how to play marbles.  He in turn taught Tucker and Charlie how to play using Tucker's planet marbles-

On Friday the homeschool group had their VERY casual Christmas pageant. :)   They have several scenes from the Christmas story and then sing carols in between each scene.  The players just stand still while a narrator reads the part.  Both Marc and Julia were narrators this year.  Marky has always narrated, and I never thought Julia would want to.  When we got there one of the narrators hadn't shown up and they asked Julia if she would do it.  She was nervous, but she did great!  I was so proud of her for overcoming her shyness!!!  Waiting for it to start with my shepherds-

No room in the inn-

Angels announcing Christ's birth to the shepherds-

I couldn't get the boys to wear their robes- they liked their Christmas shirts. :)

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

The other day the children and I had to kill a few hours downtown so I took them to the science center just for fun.  They were so excited because they had the winter wonderland up!  The three younger ones went on many train rides-

We saw a holiday IMAX movie-

The highlight was definitely the zipline- everyone did it many, many times- there was no line!

And that's all folks!
