They were excited to see the baskets and flowers and all the Easter books out when they woke up. We made our traditional Easter breakfast- monkeybread.
It's hard to tell, but Julia's Easter dress had bunnies for buttons and a little carrot on the blue bow on front! :)
After Church we grabbed lunch and then headed out to the farm. Poppy had the boys help him plow and plant a field. They planted corn, peas and sunflowers.
Marc and Marky took turns on the tractor. Marc used the discs to plow the field for planting.
Green Acres is the place for me.....
Poppy showed the children the lower field where he planted potatoes and pumpkins.
Then everyone waited on the lower dock while BB hid eggs!
Then it was time to go!!!
Big brother helped Charlie and even rehid some of the eggs he had found-
By the way, Marc got his shirt at the gun show it says "Molon labe", which means "come and take it"- words used by Leonidas and the 300 Spartans against the Persians and again at the Texas Revolution.
Enjoying their jellybeans!
Tuck loved showing off his new archery set-
And Charlie totally figured out how to drive the gator. He was driving like a maniac!
Time to have BB's delicious supper!
After lunch Marc and Julia got to open their birthday presents from BB and Poppy. Julia got a new bookbag with doll clothes inside!
Marky got new clothes- including some "gym clothes" that he'd been wanting-
After dinner we played more outside. Tucker and Charlie drove the bike and gator up and down the long driveway-
And Tucker invented this game for BB to push him around on a dolly-
A superfun Easter day at the farm!
