Friday Movie night and Saturday art museum

Friday nights have become family movie night at our home.  The children love it- they get so excited for Fridays and talk all day about the movie we will choose.  We pop popcorn, get blankets, cozy up and have a great time.  Usually Charlie is put to bed about 30 to 45 minutes into the movie, which makes it easier to relax.  Our latest choices have been:

Swiss Family Robinson- wonderful, loved it (but it's very different from the book)
The Muppet Movie- loved it
The Black Stallion- precious, beautiful
The Black Stallion Returns- gorgeous, loved it
Oh and Marc and Marky have watched Thor a lot- there are almost no objectionable parts and there are wonderful lessons in it

This morning Marky had more altar server training.  Because we were already downtown, we took the three little ones to the art museum to pass the time.  Marc had never seen the amazing children's area.  On Saturdays they have "Bart's Art Cart" where they have teens do projects with children.  Today they made a button blanket based on the book The Button Blanket about Native American art.

What a fun time. I love Friday Movie Days with popcorn (or pah-cone, as Charlie says!).
