Little Flowers- Friendliness

Today we had our Little Flowers group and studied the virtue of Friendliness.  We read about the lives of Ruth and Noami.  While the girls colored their picture I read from the Bible.  Then we drew a map of Israel and Moab and talked about how Ruth following Noami brought her to Bethlehem.  Then her great-grandson, David, became king of all Israel and then his descendant was Jesus!  Ruth's faithful friendship to Naomi made her part of the lineage of Christ!  We learned how to say "Where you go, I will go" in sign language.



We then all worked this crossword as a group to review the story-





Then while the girls worked on their album pages we talked about what a good friend does and does not do.









We learned our memory verse and discussed what it means-



Then we worked on our crafts.  Since it's October (the month we celebrate the rosary) we made friendship mini-rosaries.  Each girl took her pink stem around and let each girl place a bead on it.  There are 10 girls- so we had ten beads for one decade of the rosary.  We will pray with them this month and think of our sweet friends who helped us make them!





Then it was snack and play time!  A precious day with precious girls!
