Choir Tour Day 5- Pilsen

They choir started this day by singing at St. Bartholomew's Cathedral with two school choirs from Pilsen.  Apparently the girls in these choirs were eager to meet the boys.  :)

 

 

 After the concert they had a lunch of burgers and fries, which they were very excited about.  :)

The burger had a fried egg on it. :)

They had some down time-

Then they went on a walking tour of Pilsen-

Pilsen City hall- built in the 1500s.

Fourth largest synagogue outside of Jerusalem-

This monument was for General Patton-his 3rd army liberated Pilsen from the Nazis. 

It's supposed to look like his facial profile (in both directions) while wearing his helmet-

Ten commandments from the old Pilsen synagogue-

A memorial for the Jews killed in concentration camps- each stone has a name of a victim.  This is the ruins of the old synagogue.  

After the tour they went to Technomania, which was basically a giant science center-

Then they ran back to the hotel and got changed for their concert.  They had sandwiches and then got ready to sing.

 

Here is the Monsignor of the Cathedral.  The Bishop also came to the concert!

Then they had a late dinner and went to bed.  It goes without saying the boys are drinking grape juice! :)
